4. Legal basis for processing
Under UK GDPR, we rely on the following legal bases:
- Contract — to respond to enquiries and deliver services you've engaged us for
- Legitimate interests — to run and improve our business, including basic Site analytics and record-keeping, where this doesn't override your rights
- Consent — where we ask separately, for example to feature client work publicly in our portfolio or on Instagram, or to send you marketing communications
- Legal obligation — to meet accounting, tax, and other statutory requirements
You may withdraw consent at any time by contacting us; this won't affect processing carried out before withdrawal.
5. Cookies
The Site uses essential cookies required for it to function correctly (e.g. for the contact form and site security), as well as Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use the Site (e.g. pages visited, time on site, and general location). Google Analytics may set cookies and process data in accordance with Google's own privacy policy.
You can control or delete cookies, including opting out of Google Analytics, through your browser settings at any time.
6. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers who help us run our business and Site, including our web hosting provider (Hostinger) and email provider (Google Workspace)
- Professional advisers such as accountants, where necessary
- Authorities, where required by law
Some of these providers may process data outside the UK/EEA (for example, Google's infrastructure). Where this happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses to protect your information.
7. Data retention
We keep personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes it was collected:
- Enquiry/contact form data not converted into a project is generally retained for up to 1 year (12 months) before deletion
- Client project and invoicing records are retained for as long as required by UK tax and accounting law (currently at least 6 years)
- Portfolio content (e.g. project imagery) may be retained indefinitely where you've consented to its public display, unless you ask us to remove it
8. Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request erasure of your information, where applicable
- Object to or restrict certain processing
- Request a portable copy of your data
- Withdraw consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information against unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data appropriately.
